ABD arrived in Bengaluru on November 3 to meet with RCB management to talk about his future with the team before the Indian Premier League 2023, IPL 2023 auction.
He also met Sachin Tendulkar, the Master Blaster, to interview him but instead ended himself “listening and taking it all in.” Several videos of AB de Villiers playing gully cricket with his Mumbai supporters also made the rounds on social media. And then he met Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.
In the latest, ABD was seen enjoying chai at a local tea shop in Maharashtra. The former SA captain was sitting on the porch of the shop and enjoying the tea all alone.
After the photo got viral on Twitter, users labeled him as ‘Humble and down to earth.’

South African cricket legend and former Royal Challengers Bangalore star AB de Villiers has also launched the first edition of The Last Man Stands (LMS) India Super League 2023, the world’s largest amateur T20 cricket league in India.

The former South African test captain is the global ambassador of LMS. As per a press release from India Super League, the franchise-style cricket tournament for amateurs, to be held annually, will provide a unique opportunity for up-and-coming cricketers from all over India including Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities and rural areas to showcase their talent alongside players from larger Indian cities.
