Earlier in morning Rohit Sharma got hurt at the nets and injured his wrist before the BIG SEMIFINAL. He was seen writhing in pain with physios attending to him. Later Rohit was seen applying ice pack on his injured wrist. Rohit was one of three Indian squad members that turned up at the optional training session. Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik were the others who batted against throw downs and the reserve bowlers Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj. As soon as Rohit got hit, he immediately stopped batting. Physio and support staff was seen attending to the Indian captain.

How was Rohit hit? The Indian captain was hit while facing throw downs when a ball reared up from a length and struck him near the wrist. He was attended to immediately by the team’s support staff. After a brief consultation, Rohit tried to take strike again but aborted his net session in pain after facing one ball.

Rohit has stayed back at the outdoor nets facility, icing his injured wrist with mind coach Paddy Upton by his side.

The 35-year-old has hit one half-century so far in the tournament. The semifinal clash is scheduled to be held on Thursday (November 10) at the Adelaide Oval.

First thing the Indian captain did after reaching the ground was to go and check the wicket. The Men in Blue arrived in the city on Monday and rested for the day yesterday. The Indian team face England on Thursday at 1:30 PM IST.
