Those planning a trip to Qatar must still apply for a Hayya card, which is necessary for everyone entering the World Cup stadiums as well as the nation during the event. Online applications can be submitted via the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 website or the Hayya to Qatar 22 mobile app. The Hayya card, also known as a Fan ID, grants free access to metro and bus transit services. Hayya cardholders are permitted to remain in Qatar until January 23, 2023.
All ticket holders, international and local, MUST hold a Hayya card to be permitted access into stadiums and use free transport during the FIFA World Cup #Qatar2022.

“All parties will work to ensure the safety and security of the fans. We welcome everyone and we all cooperate to ensure that the tournament is a success,” al-Nuaim said.

Furthermore, FIFA World Cup government health speaker Yousef al-Maslamani announced the development of a website with details about clinics and hospitals. The announcement comes only days after the Qatari government lifted the majority of COVID-19 travel restrictions before the competition. Furthermore, COVID immunisation proof is no longer necessary for entry into Qatar.
