Speaking about the incident, Kohli was facing pacer Hasan Mahmud as the bowler bowled a short-pitched delivery which was pulled by the batter towards the long leg. As Kohli was taking a single, he extended his arms toward the square leg umpire, suggesting to him that the ball was too high. Later on, the stand-in official signalled the delivery as a no-ball for being too short.
This did not go down well with the Bangladeshi skipper as he went straight to Kohli with both players having a chat about it before going back to their positions. However, Dinesh Karthik who was at the crease with Kohli, could not take advantage of the free hit as he could gather a leg-bye on that delivery.

Meanwhile, team India finished its innings on 184/6 in their allotted 20 overs. The likes of KL Rahul and Kohli were the heroes for the Indian side as they both completed their fifties with the bat. While Rahul got out after scoring a half-century, Kohli remained unbeaten for his 64 runs in just 44 balls which included eight fours and one maximum.
Apart from Kohli and Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav also played a decent knock of 30 runs in just 16 deliveries which included four boundaries. Ravichandran Ashwin also gave a crucial contribution in the end as he stroked 13 runs in just six deliveries hitting one four and one six.
