In a recent report from Fightful Select, WWE will continue the crossover between these brands. The report claims the NXT brand received good viewership and ratings with the former NXT superstars returning. Superstars like Finn Balor, Gunther, Shotzi, Nikki A.S.H, and several other superstars made their appearances in recent times.
Further, the report stated that featuring main roster superstars helped the rebranded NXT in multiple ways. This helped in a consistent increase in ratings in competition for AEW on Tuesday nights. It was also acknowledged that superstars from the Raw and SmackDown brands can evaluate and guide the new talents on the NXT brand. This could help the NXT talent examine their growth and get experience from main roster superstars on their path to the Raw or SmackDown brand.

While speaking to Rick Ucchino, he mentioned recreating himself on the NXT brand. “Everything just kind of stopped, you know? And this kind of happened to me before in my career, where something would happen and then it would kind of stop for one reason or another. And I just wanted to do more. I wanted to be a part of more. And I thought maybe if I could go back to NXT and kind of recreate myself and essentially almost start over, I figured that would be something good for me personally and professionally as well.”
At NXT Halloween Havoc, the former Intercontinental Champion defeated Grayson Waller in a Casket match. In a post-match interview, he mentioned he need a shot at the NXT title against Bron Breakker.
