WWE News: Former Champion opens up on recreating himself with NXT return
Recently, Crews put light on his latest NXT run which allowed him to grow once again in the Black and Gold brand. In a recent interaction with Rick Ucchino, he mentioned his NXT return will help him to regrow once again.
“Everything just kind of stopped, you know? And this kind of happened to me before in my career, where something would happen and then it would kind of stop for one reason or another. And I just wanted to do more. I wanted to be a part of more. And I thought maybe if I could go back to NXT and kind of recreate myself and essentially almost start over, I figured that would be something good for me personally and professionally as well.” [H/T WrestleTalk]
Apollo Crews had a decent run with the Intercontinental Title match during the Thunderdome era. However, things changed for him after WrestleMania 37, when he lost his title against Big E. Since then, he was never been seen in the Premium Live Events.
WWE News: Apollo Crews will face Grayson Waller at NXT Halloween Havoc
Since returning to the NXT brand, Apollo Crews is engaged in a feud with Grayson Waller. The former Intercontinental Champion will face Waller at Halloween Havoc in a Spin The Wheel Make The Deal match.
Both men are constantly engaged in heated segments on the Black and Gold brand. Waller, being the controversial superstar, showed his potential with successive wins. At Halloween Havoc, both men will finally compete once again to seal their rivalry.
