  • NewZealand is scheduled to tour Pakistan in a split visit to play two Tests, eight ODIs, and five T20 Internationals.
  • In December 2022 and January 2023, the Black Caps will play in two tests and three ODIs.
  • In April of next year, the Kiwis will go back to Pakistan to play five T20 Internationals and as many ODIs.
  • The 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) will, however, also be taking place at the same time.
  • David White, CEO of New Zealand Cricket (NZC), said that players will be free to choose between the Pakistan tour and the Indian Premier League (IPL).

“As of our understanding, our full-strength side will go to Pakistan. I haven’t talked to players and their association further in this regard,” he said. “But, players will be allowed to play in IPL. They will be free to make a choice between IPL and Pakistan tour.”

In two phases, New Zealand will tour Pakistan. In the first phase, the Kiwis will play in three ODIs in Karachi in December 2022 and January 2023 as well as two Test matches, one each in Multan and Karachi.

In April of next year, the Black Caps will return to Pakistan to play five T20 Internationals and as many ODIs. The white-ball tour will be co-hosted by Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. IPL 2023 will take place in India during this time.

White continued by saying that they are in touch with their government while discussing the tour. “Our delegation visited Pakistan earlier this year. We are in contact with the embassy and our government about this tour,” he shared.

“I am really looking forward to an exciting tour,” he added.
