Qatar is expecting a whopping 1.2 million visitors during the World Cup. The safety of this small gulf country has to be upscaled to counter such a huge amount of tourism. The security threats are not only aerial. Hence, Pakistani troops have been deployed in Qatar to help out the military of Qatar to deal with this humongous crowd.
The Qatari Interior ministry delegation had asked Pakistan for their assistance back in August. To which the Pakistani Government has agreed. The contingent of the Pakistani army left for Qatar on 10th October. It consists of officers, Junior commissioned officers as well as Jawans.
