As per a Cricbuzz report, 35 of the 38 state units have nominated their representatives ahead of the BCCI Elections later this month. Railways, Services, and Universities have made a request for more time with the electoral officer. As previously noted, the nominations can be filed on October 11 and 12.

The scrutiny of the same is on October 13 and the withdrawal date is October 14. The elections meanwhile are set for October 18, the same day as the BCCI AGM.

Among the 35 names listed, Roger Binny is the topmost surprise who replaces Santosh Menon. The World Cup-winning all-rounder is the president of the KSCA and rumours suggest that he might land one of the available positions in the BCCI Office.

Other prominent names listed include ex-BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhry from Haryana. Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot and Mohammad Azharuddin from Hyderabad are also in the Electoral Rolls.

Meanwhile, Avishek Dalmiya is not a part of the Electoral rolls. It is clear that the son of former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya will not be part of the next BCCI dispensation, with current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly becoming the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) representative to the AGM.
