The 100-ball domestic competition, which wrapped up its latest campaign at the weekend, saw 22 per cent of its tickets go to children, up 19 per cent from last year, while 28 per cent of ticket buyers were women, up from 21 per cent for 2021.
Pitched as a family-friendly offering to get people into cricket, families made up 41 per cent of The Hundred’s ticket buyers, up from 36 per cent last year.
This year’s edition also saw 271,000 people attend the women’s tournament, which the ECB said was a global record for a women’s cricket competition. Last season, crowds of 267,000 watched the women’s games.
All eight venues broke their previous best for domestic women’s attendances. The average attendance for the women’s games in 2022 was 10,400.
