Amidst protest from the Manchester United fans against their current owners, wealth funds from Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia are also keen on buying Manchester United. Rumours claim that Emirates is also eyeing a chance to get their hands on the Red Devils. As for Jim Ratcliffe, the British billionaire will look to grab the opportunity after having failed to buy Chelsea in the summer.

Manchester United fans have been vocal about their current owners over the years. The Glazers Out protest has been very common, particularly in the big games of Manchester United. Fans have expressed their displeasure toward the owners who bought United in 2005. Fans claim that the owners haven’t invested properly in the club but take huge dividends every year.

Earlier it was reported that the Glazers will sell a minority stake of the club but now they are considering selling the club to the highest bidder after owing the club for 17 years and having incurred the club in debt over the years.

A spokesperson for Jim Ratcliffe told the Times, “If the club is for sale, Jim is definitely a potential buyer. If something like this was possible, we would be interested in talking with a view to long-term ownership.”

“This is not about the money that has been spent or not spent. Jim is looking at what can be done now and, knowing how important the club is to the city, it feels like the time is right for a reset.”
