Pakistan Playing XI vs India: Hasnain or Hasan Ali? Babar Azam faces INJURY CRISIS with Dahani injury ahead of India rematch – Follow IND vs PAK Live updates
About 24 hours before the India vs Pakistan clash, PCB officially confirmed that fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani was ruled out of the game due to a side strain. Dahani is the latest addition to Pakistan’s lengthy casualty list with Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr previously being ruled out of the tournament. The 24-year-old is not yet ruled out of the tournament but will certainly miss the game against India.
With Dahani ruled out, Pakistan have two pace bowling options in their squad – Hasan Ali and Mohammad Hasnain. Both Hasan and Hasnain were not initially part of the Asia Cup squad but were drafted in as replacements for Afridi and Wasim Jr. While Hasnain was the first choice when it came to picking replacements, Hasan Ali’s experience favours him and he could come into the side on Sunday.
Probable Pakistan Playing XI
- Babar Azam
- Mohammad Rizwan
- Fakhar Zaman
- Khushdil Shah
- Iftikhar Ahmed
- Asif Ali
- Shadab Khan
- Mohammad Nawaz
- Hasan Ali / Mohammad Hasnain
- Naseem Shah
- Haris Rauf
Barring filling Dahani’s spot, Babar Azam will stick to the same XI that registered a record-breaking win over Hong Kong. Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman and Khushdil Shah got some runs under their belt while the bowlers as a whole unit had a great outing shooting down their opposition for 38. Naseem Shah has been impressive in his debut competition in the format while Haris Rauf has also chipped in efficiently.
