Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant took on the net bowlers for fun, hitting them for some giant sixes. Pant had just a few moments ago broken Deepak Chahar’s heart by smashing him for some huge sixes. Ahead of the mega clash of India vs Pakistan on August 28, Rishabh Pant did not want to go slow. In a video shared by BCCI, Pant was seen going hammer and tongs against the net bowlers. One of the sixes included his effortless one-hander straight over the bowler’s head.

Jadeja, who will be aiming to hit top gear in T20s, also had a great practice session. From stepping out to slog sweeping, Jadeja did it all. He has to get his T20 batting going to be in the Playing XI. He is competing against two hard-hitters in Dinesh Karthik and Deepak Hooda. With the squad, it looks likely that only one will play against Pakistan while the other two may have to sit out.
Ravindra Jadeja is the preferred 2nd spinner while Dinesh Karthik has done a fabulous job as a finisher. Deepak Hooda can also bowl part-time and has been in excellent form with the bat.
Head coach VVS Laxman and captain Virat Kohli will have to solve the puzzle.

Meanwhile, Team India will have another practice session on Friday. Laxman reportedly also held a team meeting after the net session in Dubai. While much of what transpired in unknown, but a lot of the talk surrounded strategy with batting coach Vikram Rathour seen walking out with a drawing board.
“Yes, team is scheduled for another practice session today. The first match against Pakistan is big game and the new coach and captain will have discussion around conditions and team strategy for the game”, informed a team source.
