What exactly happened? Team India under interim head coach VVS Laxman underwent a gruelling practice session in Dubai as the clock ticks towards August 28. After the session, while Kohli was returning, a fan jumped over the barricades in an attempt to meet the Indian talisman.
Security soon arrived at the scene and detained the young man, who shouted out to Kohli asking him to meet him once. The former Indian captain touched by the gesture walked up to him and clicked a couple of selfies before making his way back to the hotel. Watch the video here:

The fan had travelled all the way from Lahore to grab a glimpse of Virat and the 33-year-old obliged making his day. When quizzed about his meeting with Kohli, the fan was all smiles and said that the Indian stalwart was humble and down to earth.

“I have come from Pakistan just for Kohli. & I’ve been waiting for a month to meet him and click picture with him. He is so humble, down to earth. I will remember this moment for the rest of my life (Picture with Virat). Inshallah he makes 50+ scores against Pakistan in Asia Cup and gets back in form,” the fan from Lahore said.
Virat Kohli is set to play the 100th T20I against arch-rival Pakistan in the Asia Cup. In the process, the 33-year-old will become the first Indian cricketer to play 100 matches across all three formats of the game. Having struggled for runs, the former India captain will hope to return to his best and lead India to glory.
