Babar Azam vs Virat Kohli: Why does Anwar feel the world loves to see Azam and Kohli bat?

  • Kohli and Azam are currently the best batters of their generation. While the former India captain made his debut in 2008, Azam made his debut in 2015.
  • Both the players have since then taken the onus on themselves to score runs and shatter records one after another.
  • Kohli has got the nickname of chase master, while Azam is Mr. Consistent. India batter’s form has dipped in recent times though.
  • Pakistan captain though is still in form of his life and scoring runs everywhere and in all conditions.
  • Azam is currently ranked number one in the T20I format with 818 points. He has been at the pinnacle for over 1000 days.
  • Kohli is out of the top 10, but he has vowed to bounce back even stronger.

India vs Pakistan: Kohli vows to come out of form slump stronger

It has been more than 1000 days since Kohli scored his last 100. The former India captain has not crossed fifty in his last six innings across formats. The 33-year-old has though vowed to come back stronger. Kohli also said he knows where his game stands.

Virat said, “What happened in England was a pattern, so something that I could work on and something that I had to kind of overcome. When I start feeling that rhythm back, then I know that I’m batting well, which wasn’t the case in England; I didn’t feel like I was batting well at all. So, I had to work hard on one thing that could be exposed again and again which I overcame; right now this is not the case.”
