WI vs NZ 3rd T20 Highlights: Chasing 146 to win, Brandon King and Shamarh Brooks put on a century stand to give West Indies the perfect start in their run chase. While Brooks played the anchor, King had a wonderful outing, scoring his half-century in just 30 balls.
The openers made a watchful start before berserk, especially against the spinners making a mockery of the chase. At the end of 10 overs, WI had raced to 85 needing just a run a ball to seal the win.
Nee Zealand did claw back with some tight overs and the wickets of King and Devon Thomas. Brooks scored the slowest 50 by a West Indian in T20Is, but captain Rovman Powell powered the chase with a quick fire 27 to seal the win with an over to spare.
Earlier, NewZealand won the toss and opted to bat first in the final game of the series. The Kiwis lost Martin Guptill early but Santner and Conway waded the powerplay to build a platform for the visitors.
However, Akeal Hossein and Hayden Walsh kept the runs in check as New Zealand slipped to 64/3 by the 10th over. Kane Williamson played a laboured knock as Glenn Phillips kept the scoreboard ticking with his boundary.
The Kiwis looked set for a 160+ score when they lost wickets in a cluster thanks to some fine death bowling by Odean Smith. New Zealand could thus only manage a below par 145, which WestIndies chased down with relative ease.
