Pakistan are all set to tour the Netherlands next week in a historic three-match ODI series. The three games gives the Men in Green some much-needed game time before heading to the UAE for the Asia Cup late this month. Pakistan will open their campaign against arch-rivals India on August 28.
Pakistan have already begun their practice for the series and all eyes will be on captain Babar Azam, who will carry his country’s hopes on his shoulders. Azam is the highest-ranked T20I batter in the world and will be expected to score a truckload of runs for his side. In his last outing against India, Pakistan clinched a 10-wicket win with Babar stitching a world record partnership with Mohammed Rizwan.

While Babar enjoys a rivalry with former India captain Virat Kohli, it will be Suryakumar Yadav he will go head to head with during their clashes in the Asia Cup 2022. India’s Mr 360 is second in the ICC T20I rankings with 805 points. While the Pakistani skipper is placed at the top with 818 points according to the latest ICC rankings. The Asia Cup is likely to decide whether Babar can hold onto his spot.
