Formula 1: Red Bull’s Max Verstappen made his debut in the year 2015 with the then-called team Toro Rosso, but in the next year itself he started showing results on the track by winning his first Grand Prix in the form of Spanish GP. Since then, the Dutch driver has been winning races every season and in his eighth season currently, he has won eight races taking his tally to 28 for most race wins. Verstappen’s first experience behind an F1 car was in 2015 when he made his debut with Toro Rosso as he registered four DNFs that season. His best finish came at the Hungarian and United States GP where he finished fourth. Overall, he finished the season in the twelfth spot with just 49 points.

Come next year and Verstappen was completely changed as he had matured as a driver. In the 2016 season, Verstappen only won one race which was the Spanish GP, and even finished the season fifth overall with 204 points. Meanwhile, he made a move to Red Bull that year itself.
Shifting to Red Bull, a team more advanced and quicker on the track, the Dutch now could make full use of his skills on the track as in the 2017 season, Verstappen got two wins at the Malaysian and Mexican GP. He finished the season 6th with 168 points.
Then came the 2018 season, where again Verstappen took home two race wins at the Austrian and Mexican GP as he finished the season 4th overall with 249 points. In the 2019 season, there were 3 wins at the Austrian, German, and the Brazilian GP as Verstappen finished the season 3rd overall with 278 points.

The 2021 season saw a jump in Verstappen’s performance as he clinched his first F1 title.

That year Verstappen took home 10 race wins as he finished the season 1st overall with 395.5 points. The season was decided in the last lap of the last race of the Abu Dhabi GP as Verstappen overtook Hamilton to see the chequered flag in the first place.

This year as F1 is currently in the summer break, Verstappen till now has eight race wins to his name with nine races still to go. He leads the drivers’ standings with 258 points to his name.
