Derrick Lewis took on the Australian earlier this year in February. However, the fight didn’t go as planned for him and he ended up suffering a second round knockout. Moreover, the fight took place at the Toyota center in his hometown Houston, Texas in front of his own supporters.

Talking about the aftermath of the fight recently, Derrick Lewis suggested that it wasn’t easy for him to get over his loss. He revealed that he had to surround himself with a lot of positive people and do a lot of meditation to get past it.
Thankfully for Lewis, he has been over to get past his loss from what it seems. During a recent appearance on The DC Check-In, he said:
“The last fight took a lot out of me, but I had to do a lot of meditation and put myself around a lot of positive people to help me get over the hump.”
Now, Derrick Lewis is set to take on Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 277 in Dallas this weekend. It is reported that ‘The Black Beast’ has made several changes to his training camp by changing teams. Moreover, he also revealed that this was a decision he wanted to make for a couple years now and he finally took the leap of faith.
Derrick Lewis will certainly look to bounce back from his previous loss to Tai Tuivasa and get an emphatic win this weekend. Having made the changes in his fight camp as well, he will be hopeful of bringing up something new to the table.
