It is at this juncture where Ishan has the edge. He plays fearless cricket at the top, and has been a major success as an IPL opener. If there is any place for Ishan Kishan in the Indian team, it is as a back up opener for the T20 World Cup.
It is also important to note that a fit KL Rahul will walk into the playing XI of the T20 World Cup. The Karnataka man is expected to make an international return in the tour of Zimbabwe and help him prepare for the big ticket event in Australia.
