As PSG embark on their final game of the Pre-season tour, the french champions made 8 changes in their starting lineup. However, the Paris side fielded a robust attacking lineup comprising Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Pablo Sarabia. The French giants started the game on a positive note as they looked for the opener. Both Messi and Sarabia came close to scoring but the Gamba Osaka defensive lineup was efficient enough to keep the scoreline intact at 0-0.

It took PSG 2mins before they could find the opener. A fine counterattack saw the little magician Messi inside the opponent’s box. The Argentine No.10 parried a powerful shot which was then reflected by the goalie. Like a fox in the box, Pablo Sarabia jumped forward to slot the ball at the back of the net. Immediately after the restart, PSG mounted the pressure, and 4 mins later, Neymar was fouled inside the box by the trailing leg of the defender. Penalty. Up stepped Neymar as he made it 2-0 by completely sending the goalkeeper in the wrong direction.

With the floodgates now open, it was Gamba Osaka’s turn to attack. A freak counterattack from the Japanese side saw an excellent save from Donnarumma but the defender Krokawa jumped forward to slot it home and reduce the goal deficit to 2-1. It was certainly raining goals, as 2 minutes later, a brilliant pass from the midfield found Nuno Mendes in the opponent’s box who smacked it hard to beat the keeper and make it 3-1.
The second half started on a slow note. 10 minutes into the half, PSG increased their pace, thereby indicating that the French side are hungry to score more goals. Right before the half-hour mark, Messi and Neymar combined to give PSG its fifth goal. Messi found Neymar ahead and with a sublime through ball sent it to the Brazilian. Cool as a cucumber, Neymar dispatched the ball at the back of the net to celebrate his brace.
Again minutes later, Lionel Messi found a ball at his feet and took a marvelous shot at the goal. The keeper tried his best to keep the ball out but the sheer force of the shot from his weak foot was enough to make it 4-1 for the visitors. The highly eventful half came to an end after 2 minutes of added time from the referee.

It looked like PSG was done with the game, not before out of the blue, Gamba Osaka went on to score their second goal of the game. A sublime attack in the PSG box saw Hirota Yamami slotting the ball past Donnarumma to score. PSG went on to make plenty of changes as French Superstar Kylian Mbappe came from the bench. Determined to score, he started attacking ferociously.

5 minutes before the stipulated time, Kylian Mbappe ran inside the box to find a chance to score. However, he was fouled inside the box and the referee didn’t waste a single second in gifting a penalty to the visitors. Up stepped Mbappe, and he too like Neymar previously, completely sent the goalie the wrong way to score his first and the sixth goal for PSG. A sublime performance from PSG brings an end to their pre-season campaign. With the transfer market still active, quite a few players are likely to leave the club while some of those that are keen to join the French giants, remains to be seen.
