After the conclusion of the group stage in Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown, OR Esports is way ahead of the chasing packs with 167 points. Team XO and Hyderabad Hydras rank second and third due to their consistent performances throughout the competition. On the other hand, fan-favorite Team SouL had topsy-turvy outcomes, resulting in them finishing 9th. Team Orangutan, Kinetic came back in the last two matches while FS Esports missed out narrowly.
BGMI Showdown 2022 Day 3 Summary
Match 13
The opening match of the day featured all the teams from Group A and Group B battling it out on the Erangel map. The bottom half teams had a perfect opportunity to start the day positively. However, two popular sides, Team SouL and GodLike were engaged in an early hard-fought battle and the BMPS champions were sent packing. GodLike dominantly started the game and eventually exited a few circles later.
OR Esports has been dominating the lobby since the start of the competition. Having secured the qualification berth, OR started to play even more freely as they positioned themselves perfectly during the final circles. Teams Like FS, Underdog, and Kinetic featured in numerous gun fights, and OR were holding on to their positions. The leaders faced FS in the concluding battle and the latter was comprehensively eliminated. OR Esports claimed their 4th WWCD in the group stage as Aaru was the MVP of the match.

The second match of the day was a repeat of the previous match but on the Miramar map. Teams who utilize height advantage often collect comprehensive WWCD. Global, OR, GodLike, who almost secured their qualification spot yesterday, played fearlessly from the start. Eventually, all of them went out early. Team SouL failed to impress once again and went down at the hands of Team Orangutan.
Reckoning Esports, TSM, and INS went against each other, while Hyderabad Hydras were in control of everything from a hill area. Eventually, Hyderabad Hydras wiped out Reckoning Esports to claim an easy WWCD.

With Group B featuring in all four games at first, Team SouL had their chance to scratch into the final 16 spots. The third match of the day featured all teams from Group B and Group C on the Erangel map. With their back against the wall, Team SouL once again found inspiration and secured 12 finishes and the 3rd spot, collecting 22 points. Esportswala, who were almost down and out, went head to head against Team XO. However, the latter were dominant throughout and eliminated Esportswala with ease to clinch WWCD. SouL Goblin was the MVP of the map with 8 finishes.

The fourth match of the day was a repeat of the previous match but on the Miramar map. After an impressive outing, Team SouL was looking to build on it. Eventually, they started the game on the front foot securing good positions. Meanwhile, Nigma Galaxy fought against all odds to secure a top 3 finish. The final circle featured a 4v4v1 battle between Team SouL, Nigmna Galaxy, and Hydra. Hydra’s trick was waiting patiently for their chances while Team SouL went head to head against Nigma Galaxy.
Throwables by Nigma eliminated Goblin while Akshat and Omega did just enough to eliminate Nigma Galaxy. However, Secret took full advantage and finished SouL off as Hydra clinched WWCD. Team SouL came up with a back to back brilliant performances to seal their spot for the finals. Soul Goblin once again secured the MVP accolade.

The penultimate match of the group stage featured Group A and Group C in the Sanhok match. Team X-Spark was down and out but came up with strategies to feature in the final circles. Orangutan was at the bottom third before the start of this match and they were looking for much-needed points. Eventually, the zone favored them and Orangutan finished XO and Team X-Spark to clinch easy chicken dinners. Once again experience played a crucial role as Orangutan moved close to qualifying for the finals.

With a few more spots up for grabs, the stage was perfectly set for a grandstand finish. The final match of the group stage featured teams from Group A and Group C. FS Esports completed playing all 12 matches within match 16 and secured 75 points. It seemed like they were going to the finals. However, Team Kinetic’s strong finish helped them to qualify and led to the exit of FS.
The group stage had a fitting end as Nigma Galaxy went head to head against Skylightz Gaming. Nigma Galaxy used all throwables and appropriate spray to finish Skylightz and claim WWCD.

Following them are Team XO, Hyderabad Hydras, Skylightz Gaming securing 153, 137, and 134 points respectively.
