BCCI Olympics Bill – 18 Crore on Event to distribute 4 Crore cash award for Tokyo Olympic Heroes: In what is being labeled as a hilarious move, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has spent only 4 crores on athletes in cash awards for the winners of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. As many as seven medals were won by India including one gold medal which Neeraj Chopra won. BCCI though felt that was not worthy enough and spent the rest of 18 crores on award function for Tokyo Olympics heroes. 7 crores were spent for the commercial company on the promotion of the Tokyo Olympics in India. BCCI Olympics Bill: BCCI spends a huge 5 crore amount for PM cares mementos for athletes

Apart from a huge chunk of 7 crores money that was spent for the commercial company on the promotion of the Tokyo Olympics, BCCI also spent 5 crores on PM cares mementos. The Board listed the 18-crore bill in the apex Council assembly chaired by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, attended by secretary Jay Shah, treasurer Arun Dhumal and Jayesh George amongst other notable names.

“It’s our duty to assist different sports activities. All of the members agreed to this expenditure,” mentioned a BCCI official in a situation of anonymity.
