Formula 1: Jean Todt, after getting an honour for Michael Schumacher, has revealed that he still actually watches races with the seven-time F1 World Champion. An emotional ceremony occurred on Wednesday in which previous Ferrari CEO and FIA president Todt joined Schumacher’s better half, Corinna, and daughter, Gina, to gather the State Prize of North Rhine-Westphalia. The former Ferrari team principal also added that he watches races with the German driver. “I don’t miss Michael, I see him. Yes, it’s true, I watch races with Michael. But sure, I guess what I miss is what we used to do together,” Todt said.
Todt previously mentioned that he sees Schumacher ‘twice a month’. “I don’t leave him alone. Him, Corinna, the family, we’ve had so many experiences together. The beauty of what we have experienced is part of us and it goes on,” Todt added.

The ceremony occurred in Cologne, around six kilometres from Hurth, where Schumacher and his sibling Ralf were conceived. He even spoke about his relations with the Schumacher family and said, “You have people around you who are just special. And in a way, Michael is also very special. Corinna, Mick and Gina have also become special to me. They have all become family to me, to my wife and to my son.”
While speaking for Michael’s wife Corinna, Todt added, “She is steady, she is reliable, she is dedicated, she is humble. It’s in difficult times you see the real person.” Lastly, Todt even spoke for Schumacher himself and said, “Sometimes success and money changes you. But Michael has never changed. He’s so strong.”
