Arsenal took the game to Everton from the first whistle, driving towards their penalty area and not allowing them to play out for first 15 minutes.

Granit Xhaka would hit the post with a header before Everton were denied a penalty appeal as Dele Alli went down after a collision with Matt Turner.
Arsenal vs Everton: Goals from Jesus and Saka sealed victory
The first goal came just after the half-hour mark when the Everton defence – and Pickford – got caught under Cédric Soares’ corner. The ball fell at the feet of Jesus who controlled and fired home into an empty net – his third goal in two games.
Turning provider, Jesus was found by Gabriel in a pocket of space. The 25-year-old turned and drove at the Everton defence before sliding in Bukayo Saka to double the lead.
