Jasprit Bumrah first became World No 1 bowler in ODIs back in 2018. But lack of focus on ODIs saw him drop to No 3. But in the latest ICC rankings released on Wednesday, he has reclaimed the position with 718 points.
Trent Boult is currently 2nd with 712 points while Shaheen Afridi is third with 681 points. No other Indian bowlers currently feature in Top 10 rankings.

Jasprit Bumrah stars in India win
- With a fluent performance in the first ODI, Jasprit Burmah led the Indian team to a 10-wicket win after his bowling heroics helped India restrict England to 110.
- Bumrah ended with figures of 6/19, having bowled three maiden overs in his spell.
- The performance was the third-best bowling figures for India in ODI’s after Stuart Binny and Anil Kumble.
- India will now be looking to win the second ODI at Lord’s and seal the three-match ODI series.
- The second ODI between India and England takes place on Thursday at Lord’s.

India reclaim World No 1 spot:
India have overtaken Pakistan in the latest ODI rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday. The new rankings see India rank third as they leapfrogged arch-rivals Pakistan who now reside at fourth. The latest rankings come a day after India beat England in the Oval ODI on Tuesday.
India make most of Oval win
India moved to third in the ICC ODI Team Rankings after their comprehensive 10-wicket win over England. Before the game, India were placed fourth with 105 points but the win propelled them to 108 rating points, leaving Pakistan behind at 106.
Jasprit Bumrah was the main culprit for England with a six-wicket haul that saw England crumble to the lowest total (110) against India in ODIs. The rest of the pacers rallied around Bumrah, with Mohammed Shami scalping three wickets and Prasidh Krishna picking up one.
