Earlier today, a video was released that revealed more details about the tournament.

MrBeast had challenged Ninja to a League of Legends tournament back in June

Back in June, MrBeast had posted on Twitter, teasing a League of Legends tournament that he would be hosting. However, he followed it up with a tweet bashing Ninja, saying he sucks.

Soon enough, this led to a banter between the two, where both of them kept dissing the other till Ninja accepted MrBeast’s League of Legends challenge. The prize money for the tournament is $150,000 and both streamers have to select their own teams.

So far, the streamers have refrained from naming their champions apart from a few. The streamers have let slip a few of their teammates, where Mizkif and Emiru will be playing for Team Beast, while Doublelift1 will be playing for Team Ninja. It is worth noting that both Emiru and Doublelift1 are pro League of Legends players. Incidentally, both MrBeast and Ninja have agreed that they will only have one pro player on their team and those slots have been filled. Therefore, now it will be interesting to see who makes the cut in both teams after this.

Interestingly, both streamers have their eye on one common player: Sapnap. In a teaser video with Ultimate Crown, MrBeast was left wide-eyed when he heard that Ninja also wanted Sapnap on his team. While Sapnap’s participation in the tournament is confirmed, there is no official announcement about which team he will be playing for.

The tournament will be held on July 9th at the Hyper X Esports Arena in Las Vegas, and it will take place in collaboration with Crown Channel. Fans can watch the tournament on the Ultimate Crown Twitch channel.
