Hypercharge is an upcoming Xbox indie title where players play as an action figure in a toy store. The game is already available on Steam and developers are working hard to make the game available for Xbox soon.

Hypercharge developer retaliates against toxic players demanding an Xbox release date

Hypercharge has been set to release for Xbox for some time now. Naturally, the devlopers will require some time before they can officially launch the game for the console. Furthermore, since they are a team of five developers working on the project, things take a bit more time. Xbox and most fans have been understanding and supportive of this. However, there have been others who have kept being toxic towards the developers. Finally, Hypercharge developer Joe spoke out against the issue, stating that it was not okay for people to hurl abuses at them demanding a release date.

In the tweet, Joe stated that while they understand the eagerness players have to be be able to enjoy the indie title on the Xbox, they are also humans with feelings. Naturally, when players hurl abuses at them and threaten them demanding release dates, it does not bode well for them. Not only does it do nothing to speed up the development process, it deters the process instead since the abuses affect the developers’ mental health.

Adding to his statement, Joe even posted a video of himself saying that these were not the kind of fans that Hypercharge wanted in its community. He clearly stated that the developers would be unable to announce a release date since they did not have one yet, and they would only want to release the title after they were sure it would run smoothly on the console.

Hypercharge is already available for play on Microsoft Windows (Steam) and Nintendo Switch. Players who have played the title have enjoyed it so far and fans cannot wait for the title to be released on other platforms like Xbox and PlayStation.
