Hamilton & Verstappen crash at Copse

The 1973 British GP is very well known for its first lap accident which saw 11 cars retire from the race. The cause one the accident was Jody Scheckter’s McLaren spun across the track at Woodcote corner at the end of the first lap.

Nigel Mansell gives a lift to Ayrton Senna
In the 1991 British GP, Nigel Mansell did take home the victory but he was remembered for giving a lift to Ayrton Senna. Ayrton Senna’s McLaren ran out of fuel at the absolute last lap of the race and finished fourth having begun the race qualifying at second.
