Max Holloway supports Charles Oliveira: In UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Oliveira on 23 Aug 2015 witnessed Oliveria getting knocked down in the first round by Hollaway in the featherweight division.
However we all know Charles has been a different breed in the UFC after he moved to the lightweight division, eventually having one of the greatest rises in the UFC history.
Max Holloway, “That dude’s, dude’s in demon mode right now, you know? It’s funny because everybody keep talking about him quitting and he’d be making everybody call him a quit, quitter. So you know, good for him. He’s been killing it, you know, unfortunate with that, he got stuck with a stickler on the weight with the half like come on bro like the thing was moving like put that thing on the 55 so you know, I just feel bad for the guy.”
His next one is not even a title defense anymore. He gotta go back to (being) a contender again… or not even a contender, he’s fighting for the belt, but it’s not a title defense. They robbed him (of) history,” the Hawaiian said of Oliveira.
“I feel bad for him, but we’ll see what happens. It is what it is. He and I know that we have unfinished business since, like, forever. It would be an honor to share the Octagon with him again.
“If we get it done July 2nd, who knows? Dana White’s saying stuff like ‘Oh, Alex can get whatever he wants’ so we’ll find out July 2nd what Max wants and gets.”
Do Bronx’s title was stripped down in UFC 274 due to weight mismanagement by the fight organization. However, he filled his rage with a first-round submission victory on divisions heavy striker Justin Gaethje.
Charles Oliveira has his eyes on the title and is waiting for his next opportunity to grab it from the organization.
