In his new documentary ‘Pogmentary’ released on Amazon Prime, Pogba said that Manchester United was not serious enough to offer him a proper contract. The player considers this to be a big mistake from United.
“My thought process is to show Manchester [United] that they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract, and to show other clubs that Manchester had made a mistake in not offering me a contract,” said Pogba.
“They’re bluffing. How can you tell a player you absolutely want him and offer him nothing? Never seen that,” said Pogba when his former agent Mino Raiola said that Manchester United have offered a second contract to him.
Pogba had a 5-year contract with United with an option to extend for one year. Pogba has been reluctant to sign a new contract with United for over a year. With 5 years over in 2021, the Manchester club extended his optional remaining 1 year and gave a new deal to the player. However, Pogba was unhappy with that new deal and decided to leave the club as a free agent in the summer of 2022.
