Coming a day after the first team take on Atletico Madrid in Oslo, the home match against Rayo Vallecano will ensure that Ten Hag is able to provide game-time to his whole squad in the crucial final week of pre-season.
Manchester United’s football director, John Murtough, comments: “Pre-season is all about preparation and this is a great opportunity for those squad members who may not have featured in some of our earlier Tour and pre-season matches to get valuable minutes on the pitch – and where better to do this than Old Trafford?
“This will be the new manager’s first match at Old Trafford, and I am sure the fans will provide him with a warm welcome.”
Manchester United’s chief operating officer, Collette Roche, comments: “We are delighted to be able to offer fans the opportunity to share in the experience of Erik Ten Hag’s first match in the dugout at Old Trafford.
“As well as the chance to see some of the club’s up-and-coming stars, fans purchasing tickets for this match will also be contributing towards a fantastic cause, with the club donating 10 percent of profits from the game to Manchester United Foundation and its work within the community.”

Tickets for this game are on general sale, priced at £20 for adults, £10 for under 16s and £50 for hospitality seating.
As a thank you for their ongoing support, season-ticket holders, executive club members and official members can purchase tickets from just £1 for under 16s and £5 for adults.
New members can join from £20 and receive the same discounted ticket price, as well as exclusive access to match tickets and a range of club discounts throughout the 2022/23 season.
Manchester United v Rayo Vallecano will be shown live on MUTV, in the Manchester United App and on ManUtd.com.
