F1 Azerbaijan GP: Max Verstappen wins the Azerbaijan Grand Prix – Red Bull’s Max Verstappen wins the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and takes home his fifth win of the F1 2022 season. Sergio Perez followed him as Red Bull again claimed the 1-2 spot on the streets of Baku. Meanwhile, Ferrari registered their first double DNF of the season and Mercedes took home the 3-4 spot in the form of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen kept his cool and took home another victory. He started the race in the third spot but eventually ended up winning. Meanwhile, Perez started the race second, and on Turn 1 took the lead from Leclerc as he settled for a second-place finish.

Mercedes’ George Russell again finished in the top five this season as he ended up on the podium for the third time this year. Moreover, Lewis Hamilton who suffered massive back pain during the race claimed the fourth spot and will be really happy with this result.

F1 Azerbaijan GP: Azerbaijan Grand Prix Race Classification.

AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly had to settle for a fifth-place finish and he was followed by Sebastian Vettel in the sixth position. Vettel jumped positions after making an error in the race and would be satisfied with the result. Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso took home the seventh spot in his Alpine and was followed by the McLaren duo.

Daniel Ricciardo finished eighth overall and saw himself among the points after all. He was desperate for a good result and it did come in Baku. Lando Norris had to settle for a ninth-place finish and was followed by Esteban Ocon in the tenth spot. Moreover, Ocon will be happy as he saw himself among the points.

Valtteri Bottas took home the eleventh spot after a disappointing Friday and Saturday. He was followed by Alex Albon who finished twelfth overall. Yuki Tsunoda had to settle for a thirteenth place finish and was followed by Mick Schumacher in the fourteenth spot.

Nicholas Latifi claimed the fifteenth spot and Lance Stroll finished sixteenth overall being the last driver to see the chequered flag. Furthermore, there were four drivers who retired from the race as all of them had one thing in common, the Ferrari engine.

Firstly it was Carlos Sainz who retired from the race due to a hydraulic issue and then it was game over for Ferrari as Charles Leclerc also retired due to an engine problem.

Then came the rookie driver Guanyu Zhou who retired from the race due to a technical issue and lastly it was Kevin Magnussen who had to retire because of the smoke coming out of his car.
