On Friday, Sourav Ganguly informed the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) that he will be present to watch the second match of the ongoing five-match T20I series. Meanwhile, the OCA has also invited the Chief Minister of the state, Naveen Patnaik to be in attendance, and he is expected to grace the occasion.

Meanwhile, the Odisha government is making stringent security arrangements to ensure a smooth event. Speaking to Kalinga TV, Police DGP Sunil Bansal said “The security arrangements have been made stricter and mock drill has also been conducted. The spectators should come and watch the match in peace for which their coordination is also needed.”
As for the match, India will be desperate for a victory, after succumbing to a seven-wicket defeat in the first match at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. However, in the only India vs South Africa T20I meeting which took place at Cuttack, it was the Proteas who emerged victoriously.
