Hopes on Anshul Jubli: Pawan Maan faced Jeka Saragih on the road to UFC’s initial bout.
First-round witnessed the Indian fighter Pawan Maan throttled with a takedown and pushing his opponent to the corners of the cage. Jeka Saragih managed the takedowns. Pawan remained defensive in the initial round.
Second round saw the same opening by Pawan, a takedown to his opponent. However, Jeka Saragih wittily managed it. Both the fighters were equally waiting for an opening.
Indian lightweight prospect landed an elbow to the back of the Indonesian, which cost him a point deduction from the referee.
Third round witnessed a bombarding of punches from Pawan, while Jeka was in the defense. Close-range punches were in Pawan’s arsenal as he was a notable Indian boxing prodigy. While both were closed to each other and at (2:40) seconds, Jeka Saragih came up with a brilliant spinning back fist, collapsing Pawan Maan to the ground and earning him a TKO win.
