International Friendlies 2022: Brazil Rout South Africa – Brazil went on to display their rampage and carnage as they demolished South Korea 5-1. Selecao wonder star Neymar went on to put up a solid performance for his side as he went to register a brace. Other scorers for the Samba Boys were Richarlison, Gabriel Jesus, and Philippe Coutinho. Richarlison opened proceedings for Brazil early before Ui-Jo Hwang equalized for the hosts. Manchester United midfielder Fred got an early opportunity in the opponent’s box and took a shot at the goal. The ball took a wicked deflection from Richarlison, followed by deflecting off the gloves of the keeper to reach the nets. Richarlison was attributed with the goal as the Samba boys celebrated an early goal.

Brazil continued their attack for a long time and came close to scoring but it was the hosts who equalized at the half-hour mark. After stitching an attack for more than 40 passes, Ui-Jo Hwang scored a magnificent goal to restore parity to the game.

With minutes remaining from the halftime, Brazil got the opportunity to increase their lead. Left-back Alex Sandro was fouled in the box and the referee after watching the replay from the VAR decided to award a penalty which Neymar calmly scored as Brazil headed into the break with a 2-1 lead.

Brazil didn’t let South Korea showcase their mark in the second half as the Samba boys scored 3 goals to finish the game. A repeat of the previous goal, saw Alex Sandro being fouled in the box again, with Neymar scoring yet another goal to make it 3-1 for his side.

Finally, substitute Philippe Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus both scored goals each in the dying minutes of the game to inflict a crushing defeat on the South Koreans. Brazil takes on Japan next on 6th June 2022 in their second international friendly before the heavyweight clash against Argentina.
