Rajasthan Royals Playing XI: Sanju Samson hasd no reason to tinker with his playing combination as the Rajasthan Royals face off against the Gujarat Titans. Jos Buttler has returned to his destructive best having scored 195 runs without getting dismissed in the playoffs, and will once again hold key to RR’s chances on Sunday.
Sanju Samson, Shimron Hetmyer have chipped in notably, with contributions also from the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal. Ravichandran Ashwin, who has played a couple of solid innings as a floater, will also need to bring his A game to the table.
The bowling meanwhile has been top notch, with a fine display against the Royal challengers Bangalore at the same venue on Friday. Having been taken to the cleaners by David Miller in Qualifier 1, Prasidh Krishna bounced back with a stunning spell of 3/22, while Obed McCoy and Trent Boult have done admirably well in the death and in the powerplay respectively.
The spin twins Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal have run the show in the middle overs, and the latter will be keen to return amongst wickets to reclaim his Purple Cap for Wanindu Hasaranga.
Rajasthan Royals: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal, Obed McCoy
