Barcelona was negotiating with Dembele for months and talks progressed well, however until now the French forward rejected the latest offer from the Catalan club and will be eyeing a move back to his home country.

Both Dembele and the Barcelona board were locked into deep negotiations since March over the renewal of the contract. As per reports, Dembele’s demand for wages was quite high, and owing to the financial crisis of the Catalan club, the negotiations failed. The club is also unwilling to pay a heft commission to his agent, Moussa Sissoko.
Reports from Diario AS claim that the transfer saga is now over. Dembele is eyeing a move to PSG. Moussa Sissoko, Dembele’s agent was seen in Paris and has reportedly held talks with PSG. PSG apparently looks at Dembele as an ideal replacement for Angel Di Maria.

Di Maria is moving out of PSG after a long and successful spell and Dembele joining the club would be a nice homecoming for the winger. Though the negotiations have dropped off and Dembele is touted to leave the Cules, it comes as a piece of good news for the Catalan club.
