During the LSG vs RCB clash, chasing a huge total of 208, Deepak Hooda smashed a huge six off left-arm spnner Shahbaz Ahmed in the eighth over of the innings. The six sailed into the stands over the cover region on the off-side. A policeman in the crowd attempted to catch the ball but it hit his left hand and deflected off it and fell into the crowd behind him. He was seen shaking his left hand and wincing in pain. Fortunately the injury doesn’t look like a serious one.
Deepak Hooda went on to play a crucial knock to help his team inch closer to the target. He scored 45 off 26 deliveries, scoring a solitary four and four sixes. He however departed in the 15th over by getting bowled by a googly from spinner Wanindu Hasaranga.
Earlier in the day, RCB managed to post 207 on the board on the back of a century from Rajat Patidar, who scored 112 off 54 deliveries and became the first uncapped Indian to score a century in IPL playoffs.
