RCB were in a spot of bother having lost captain Faf du Plessis early, while Virat Kohli struggled for timing. The Men in Red were scoring at a middling rate in the powerplay, before Rajat Patidar took matters into his own hands.
Krunal Pandya, bowling the final over of the powerplay, was taken to the cleaners. Patidar hit consecutive boundaries over the infield before launching one into the stands. Things did not end there for Krunal as Patidar then punched one through the offside to make it a massive 20-run over and take RCB past the 50-run mark.

Patidar eventually reached his century off just 49 balls, even as wickets fell at the other end. With Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell both failing to make it count, he single-handedly anchored RCB.
This is only Patidar’s maiden century in IPL and in T20 career. He scored a half-century against Gujarat Titans earlier this season. Patidar remained unbeaten on 112, guiding RCB to 207/4.
