The Diamond has not been seen in the octagon after UFC 269, December 2021, after his third-round submission loss to Lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.

Dustin Poirier has been in the limelight after his two successful back-to-back wins with Conor McGregor. His second-round knockout win in UFC 257, declared him the first fighter in UFC to knockout out McGregor.
