Buttler ready to Rock –
- Ahead of the Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans, RR posted a video on their Twitter handle where Jos showed his intent and said, “I am ready to ROCK tonight in Playoff Battle.”
“I think coming to the playoffs, you just have huge sense of excitement and you know still got plenty of trust in my game and I work hard in the practice before the match and hopefully put on a good performance in the playoffs.
“I think at this stage of the tournament, you know how cricket is, you know, to be embraced and enjoyed. There is lot of different pressure and stuff but must maintain same things that we have been doing,” the Orange Cap holder Buttler further added.

- With RR having the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal and Butler in their ranks, they will certainly fancy their chances.
- With good top order and middle-order batters RR have all the necessary tools to upset GT, who finished as league leaders with 22 points in the IPL 2022.

Buttler’s poor recent run–
- Jos Buttler has been going through a poor form in recent times as his last three innings have ended in single digit scores.
- 2, 2, and 7 runs have seen him fall considerably, but with plenty of good form early in the season he continues to lead the Orange Cap standings.
- It’s been five innings since he last scored a fifty and looking at his recent standards, it was blow for RR.
- Thankfully for RR during Buttler’s lean patch, Yashasvi Jaiswal has fired and provided the good start.
Orange Cap fight not yet over-
- As things stand, Buttler still leads the Orange Cap race with 629 runs and was the front runner with a big margin of 150 runs at a one point.
- However, that lead has now been reduced with Rahul on 537 runs and his fellow opener Quinton de Kock also firing on all cylinders.
- The race will go down to the wire, while there is also a possible head-to-head prospect in the Qualifier 2.
- The likes of Faf Du Plessis and Shikhar Dhawan make the rest of the top five.
