IPL 2022 Final: BCCI to follow USA’s SUPER BOWL tradition, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha movie trailer to be released during IPL Final

Lal Singh Chaddha Trailer: Laal Singh Chaddha is a comedy action drama film starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role. It is one of the most awaited films of the year and for the first-ever time, the trailer of the film is all set to be unveiled during the IPL final, making it the first-ever film for which the trailer is all set to be released during a live cricket match.

Film critic Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Twitter account, where he wrote “Aamir Khan: Laal Singh Chhadha trailer during IPL finale”

Aamir Khan who is also the producer of the film has decided to cash in on the ‘fervour of IPL cricket and both the cricket fans as well as movie lovers will be in for a treat as the trailer of the film will be unveiled both at the stadium as well as on the official broadcasting channel Star Sports. This move is expected to set a new benchmark in the advertising and marketing industry, which could make IPL like USA’s Super Bowl.

Super Bowl, which is the championship game of the USA’s National Football League, is the most viewed program every year in the history of the U.S. Due to the high number of views, it attracts the advertisers to buy buy commercial airtime, paying a high price, that has made it a big revenue-generating model, both for the advertisers as well as for the league.

With this move by Aamir Khan, this is expected to set a new precedence as the advertisers could start cashing in on the popularity of the IPL, especially on the final day in the upcoming editions.

Laal Singh Chaddha is expected to be released in theatres on 11th August 2022. Meanwhile, in the IPL three teams- Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants, have sealed a spot in the playoffs. Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore are fighting for the one remaining slot.

The IPL Playoffs will begin from 24th May. Qualifier 1 will be played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals on 24th May. The Eliminator is scheduled to take place on 25th May while the Qualifier 2 is scheduled to take place on 27th May.
