Khabib Nurmagomedov sets high hopes for Islam Makhachev: 

Khabib Nurmagomedov, after his retirement from UFC following his father’s death vacated his title after a dominant win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.

The Eagle stands undefeated in his professional MMA record and has the highest title defenses in the lightweight division.

The Eagle continues his legacy in UFC after his retirement through his friend and training partner, Islam Makhachev. Khabib has precisely supervised Islam Makhachev’s skills, making him unstoppable with his winning streak in the division.

Islam Makhachev has his eyes set on the vacant title. Makhachev possesses an incredible record of 22 wins and 1 loss. The loss happened initially lost in his carrier at UFC 192 against Adriano Martins. Makhachev has been undefeated since then.

Khabib Nurmagomedov in his recent video clip with TMZ sports compared Islam Makhachev with elites of UFC like Israel Adesanya, Charles Oliveria, and Alexander Volkanovski.
