Horner was speaking to Sky Sports when he was asked about the rumours of Red Bull being interested in Fernando Alonso. However, he denied all such claims by saying “That’s news to me! We are very happy with the drivers we’ve got here.”

“Fernando’s a great driver. It’s fantastic he’s still in Formula 1. And given the plus 40 [age], he’s something to aspire to. But he doesn’t fit part of our plans,” concluded Horner.
Fernando Alonso is on a contract with Alpine till the end of this season. There is a possibility that he will extend his contract with the team. But other teams are likely to be interested in him as well, given how he has performed for the French side.

Sky Sports pundit Karun Chandhok added fuel to those rumours by saying “There are rumours in the paddock this morning I heard. One about Fernando potentially going to Aston Martin to take over from Sebastian Vettel. And another about Fernando and Flavio Briatore banging on the door at Red Bull, saying he is prepared to be a teammate to Max Verstappen. And have a good car for the last couple of years of his F1 career,” Chandhok explained.
Meanwhile, Red Bull’s poster boy Max Verstappen is second in the Drivers’ standings with 59 points. He is then followed by his teammate Sergio Perez in the third spot with 54 points to his name.
