Quinton de Kock unleashed his fury against the Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers as he went on to thrash bowlers left, right, and center. With four 4s and three huge 6s, de Kock registered a quick-firing half-century with a humongous strike rate of 172.

This was the Proteas batter’s third half-century in IPL 2022 as de Kock entered into the top 5 in the Orange cap list. With 344 runs under his belt with a healthy average of 31.27, Quinton de Kock is ranked 5th in the chase for the Orange cap and the second-highest run-scorer in the Lucknow Super Giants team. Only skipper KL Rahul (451 runs) has more runs than the South African batter.

Quinton de Kock’s exploits however were short-lived after he scored his half-century. Sunil Narine dismissed de Kock with a good delivery. The ball pitched outside the off-side saw de Kock mistiming the shot. In an attempt to hit it over the long-off, the ball carried to Shivam Mavi after hitting the toe-end of the bat and therefore bringing the end of proceedings for the Proteas batter.
