However, it is his form with the bat that has been troubling Mumbai Indians. He has scored just 225 runs in 9 matches at an average of 28.13. Although he started with two back to back half-centuries, that form has gone up in smokes.

Mumbai Indians batting coach Robin Singh had a conversation with Ishan Kishan on where to improve before the Rajasthan Royals match. However, that yielded only 26 and captain Rohit Sharma was not happy with how things have gone in batting.
“We’ve addressed a few things that we feel that he (Kishan) can improve on. Obviously, it’s about getting better during the course of the game. As you know, he (Kishan) started very well. But he fell away a little bit. We sort of revisited the entire tournament, we addressed a few things and we’re hoping that he’ll get back the same sort of form that he started with,” added Robin.
With a Rs 15.25 Cr price tag, Ishan Kishan is already reeling under pressure and the match against Gujarat Titans’ pace attack will be key to his place in the Playing XI. Head coach Mahela Jayawardena has already hinted at changes in the lineup with MI already out of Playoff Race after losing 8 matches on the trot.
