“Now, nearly five months down the line, it’s a relief the way things are,” Jofra Archer confirmed who last underwent knife in December.
“ECB gave me the assurance and peace of mind that they wanted me around for a long time. In a situation like this, you do think about whether you are going to play cricket again,” he was quoted as saying by DailyMail.
- Jofra Archer informed that England Cricket Board (ECB) continued to back him during the challenging phase away from cricket.
- He plans to at least play a couple of matches for Sussex out of their eight matches in the T20 Vitality Blast. The tournament starts on May 25 and lasts till July 16.
- But Archer might not play the upcoming ENG vs NZ Tests. England will host New Zealand for three-match Test series starting on June 2.
- England will host India for a test and white-ball series in July after NZ tour of England.
“I still want to play everything, but my first task is the Blast and if I don’t play that properly, then I won’t be able to play Test cricket,” Jofra Archer concluded.
