Earlier, there were rumors regarding Shinsuke Nakamura being Reigns’ next opponent, but Nakamura has been absent on the blue brand. As per the reports, WWE booked Roman Reigns to headline WrestleMania Backlash despite an opponent.

Even so, the latest tapping gave a spoiler for the Tribal Chief’s next opponent, no other than Drew McIntyre himself. Last week, WWE Universe witnessed Reigns’ ordering his cousins to show up during the lumberjack match, which eventually pulled up a brawl between all superstars.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, he revealed WWE booked for the main event of WrestleMania Backlash despite big matches on the match card. Moreover, he pointed out recent SmackDown tappings to conclude the WWE’s tentative plans.
“The 4/29 SmackDown show ends with Roman Reigns coming to blows with Drew McIntyre, which has looked to have been the logical main event for the show. The Head of the Table is ruling the SmackDown brand for a long time. He defeated every opponent in his way to stand tall as the champion. At the Showcase of Immortals, he conquered The Beast Incarnate to continue his championship reign. At present, Reigns is going through the best phase of his career.
On the other hand, Drew McIntyre is a tough competitor for Roman Reigns. Both men have already clashed frequently. However, the Scottish Warrior failed to secure his win. At WrestleMania Backlash, it would be an epic battle to watch where two big superstars clash for the Undisputed Universal Title.
