Sharing the photo of the special jersey on its official twitter handle on Friday, Rajasthan Royals tweeted “A special jersey, to honour a special man. #ForWarnie”. Warne passed away in March this year that left the entire cricket fraternity in shock. He was 53 years old and died in Thailand from a suspected heart attack.

The legendary Australian spinner was the first captain of the Rajasthan Royals franchise and he led the team to victory in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008. In his memory, the franchise decided to pay tribute to him on Saturday.
The franchise said Warne’s brother, Jason will also be part of the celebration as he has accepted an invitation from the Jaipur-based side. A special area at the DY Patil Stadium has also been turned into a Shane Warne Tribute Gallery, which all the ticket-holding fans will be able to visit and experience.
